JioPhone Prima / JioPhone (The Smart Feature Phone)
The original JioPhone and the newer JioPhone Prima models offer a step up from the basic JioBharat phones by running a more capable operating system.
📝 Key Features:
Operating System: Primarily runs on KaiOS, an operating system that bridges the gap between feature phones and smartphones.
App Support: Provides access to globally popular apps like WhatsApp, YouTube, and Facebook, in addition to all the standard Jio apps.
Design: Features a traditional keypad layout but with a larger 2.4-inch display. The older JioPhone 2 notably featured a QWERTY keypad design.
Connectivity & Multimedia: Includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, and often a front-facing camera for video calls and selfies (usually 0.3MP).
JioPhone Prima: A newer KaiOS model with a contemporary design, aimed at users who want smart apps but still prefer a keypad.
3. JioPhone Next (The Budget 4G Smartphone)
Developed in partnership with Google, the JioPhone Next is Jio’s entry-level, full-fledged 4G touchscreen smartphone, running an Android-based OS.

Design: Standard modern smartphone with a 5.45-inch HD+ touchscreen and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Operating System: Runs Pragati OS, an optimized version of Android (based on Android 11 Go Edition) designed specifically for Indian users and entry-level hardware.
Processor & Memory: Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon QM215 processor, with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage (expandable).
Google & Jio Integration: Deep integration of Google Assistant and Jio apps. Key features include:
Voice First: Use voice commands for tasks.
Read Aloud: Reads screen text in multiple Indian languages.
Translate Now: Translates screen content instantly using the camera or screen.
Camera: Comes with a capable 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, complete with Google-engineered camera filters and Night Mode.
